Located next to The Monument in an area of historic interest, the building comprises 94,000sqft offering 88,000sqft of office accommodation with 4,000sqft retail space. The feature reception of 1,500sqft can be extended to create a further self-contained entrance. There is also the potential for the floors to be linked via additional stairs if required.
Designed by architect Ken Shuttleworth’s Make, the office accommodation is split over 10 floors with terraces at levels 4, 5, 7 and 9. The building will set new occupational standards in terms of sustainability and design in the Square Mile, with completion scheduled for spring 2016.
The Monument Building is designed to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating. Green features include a green roof, photovoltaic panels, an intelligent lighting control system and a façade system which provides the most effective balance of reduced heat gain while maximising the amount of natural daylight into the building.
There are inspiring views south to the River Thames, The Monument and Tower Bridge and views north to the City, including 20 Fenchurch Street, The Leadenhall Building, 30 St Mary Axe and the Lloyd’s of London building.
